"Plateau" Series

This series of small watercolor paintings of the Inner Mongolian Plateau arises from my gaze and contemplation of my homeland’s nature. The mountains stand firm and majestic, like symbols of the spirit of my people; the fierce sunlight endows all things with resilient vitality; the rugged grasslands, though harsh, nurture boundless life; and the vast, translucent blue sky with its drifting clouds reveals the immensity and purity of heaven and earth. I chose watercolor as the medium for its transparency, fluidity, and layered subtlety, allowing the weight and the lightness of the plateau to coexist. Through delicate strokes, I seek to convey the land’s resilience and expansiveness, awakening a profound resonance with nature and life.
