This was my first visit to Manhattan. On a rainy New Year’s night, walking from Central Park toward Fifth Avenue, I was captivated by the symphony of light and shadow. Backlit through intricate black tree silhouettes, the streetlights and building illuminations formed a dazzling spectacle. The wet atmosphere and reflective surfaces added depth and layers to the scene. The expressive qualities of watercolor bring drama and fluidity to the cityscape.
